About me
I’m Laura - the counsellor behind Serenity Mindfulness
People often ask me why I became a counsellor, and the answer is simple: because I know what it’s like to feel lost, overwhelmed, or unseen, and I wanted to create a space where others never have to feel that way alone.
I’ve always been drawn to understanding people - what makes us feel safe, what helps us heal, and how we rebuild when life knocks us off balance. Over the years, that curiosity turned into a passion for helping others reconnect with their inner calm and rediscover their sense of self
I work from a humanistic, person-centered approach, which simply means you’re at the heart of everything we do. My role isn’t to judge or fix, but to walk alongside you as you explore, reflect, and grow.
Outside of counselling, I find peace in simple, mindful moments, walks in nature, journaling, candles, music, and cups of tea that never stay hot for long. I believe healing doesn’t happen in a rush it unfolds gently, when we feel safe enough to just be.
If you’d like to know more about my approach or how I work, I’d love to hear from you. This space was created to be calm, supportive, and real, because you deserve that.

Why counselling?
Life can sometimes feel overwhelming, leaving us feeling anxious, stuck, emotionally drained or unsure of our next steps. Counselling provides a confidential, non-judgemental space where you can talk openly, explore your thoughts and feelings, and gain a deeper understanding of yourself.
Whether you’re facing a specific challenge or simply want to improve your emotional wellbeing, counselling can help you build resilience, develop healthier ways of coping, and move towards a more balanced and fulfilling life.
Seeking support is a sign of strength, and you don’t have to face life’s challenges alone.
